WREN has grown into a globally connected consultancy with regional branches in Belize to serve the Caribbean, Samoa to support the Pacific region, and its global office in Australia. 2023
Dr. Wander founded the Waste Recycling Environment Network (WREN) to build on her legacy of co-designing and implementing innovative waste management solutions. With a focus on Small Island Developing States (SIDS) and remote coastal communities, WREN was created to address the unique challenges these regions face, leveraging her global network to drive sustainable practices.
2017
In 2017, Dr. Wander transitioned to leading the Asia Pacific Waste Consultants (APWC) practice, where she managed a team of professionals implementing impactful waste management projects across Asia, the Pacific, Africa, and Central America. These projects included waste audits, port waste reception facility assessments, and the establishment of recyclers and waste management associations. She also contributed to designing Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) frameworks, further solidifying her global expertise and networks
2015 – 2017
WREN's journey began with its founder, Dr. Wander, gaining invaluable expertise in waste management and resource recovery. From 2015 to 2017, she served as the Senior Consultant and Project Director at A.Prince Consultants (APC), a boutique firm with over two decades of experience delivering more than 1,000 projects for 350+ clients across Australia. During her tenure, Dr. Wander led resource recovery initiatives across Australia and Asia, honing her practical, hands-on expertise in all facets of waste management.
