Plastics Baseline for Solomon Islands

WREN is engaged by the Solomon Islands Government, through the Ministry of Environment, Climate Change, Disaster Management and Meteorology (MECDM), to provide technical consulting services in support of national efforts to address plastic pollution. The project focuses on conducting a stock take of the current plastic waste situation and delivering a comprehensive State of Knowledge report. WREN leads targeted data collection and investigations to fill critical information gaps and prepares a National Source Inventory that details the types and volumes of plastic materials entering the country, their management pathways, and leakage into the environment. The project supports evidence-based policy development and delivers key outputs including technical reports, data tools, and stakeholder presentations to inform national strategies for plastic pollution reduction.
