Using the methodology outlined in “Waste Audit Methodology- A Common Approach”, Amardeep, in her previous role, led teams in 9 countries to undertake detailed waste audits and collect data that covered the following:
- Household kerbside waste;
- Commercial premises;
- Landfills;
- Assessment of the current collection systems;
- Assessment of current infrastructure;
- Assessment of the current legislation and policy framework; and
- Assessment of the current range of financial mechanisms available in the country.
The audit data has since formed the basis of numerous feasibility studies and analytical documents for the formulation of policy, economic assessments, business cases and infrastructure investment decisions.
