Waste Audits for Land-Based Sources of Marine Litter

Using the Common Approach waste audit methodology, Dr. Amardeep Wander led teams across nine countries to conduct detailed waste audits and data collection covering household kerbside waste, commercial premises, landfills, collection systems, infrastructure, legislative frameworks, and financial mechanisms. The data generated has since served as the foundation for numerous feasibility studies, policy documents, economic assessments, business cases, and infrastructure investment decisions across the Pacific and Caribbean. Amardeep led this work as director of APWC.
